Lecture Title: Adjustments & Timing w/ Purposeful Drills
My name is Roxanne Luna
Born and raised in El Paso, TX.
Was part of the first classes of TX HS softball at JM Hanks HS when it started in 1992-1993 which was the first year it was instated into the High schools. I graduated in 1995 from Hanks and was part of the first class of EPCC Tejana softball team in 1996-1998. I stayed on an additional year as a Student Coach under Coaches Cat Heifner and Kathy Rodolph who are now the Coaches at NMSU.
I am a CTE teacher at Americas HS teaching 2-D and 3-D animation. This was my 13th overall year of coaching HS softball, my 9th year at Americas HS as the Head Coach. This was our 4th appearance in the TX state playoffs with back-to-back Bi-District and Area Championships. My first District, Quarter Regional, Semi-Regional and Regional Final Championships. First time in school and District history for one of our schools to advance past the sweet 16 and made city history being the only team to advance to the state finals, final four in 28 years. I was named back-to-back All City Coach of the year (2021 and 2022).
I am a proud mother of 3 and wife of 24 years. I graduated from UTEP in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Painting.
