This course reviews the key factors involved in successful long jumping, including the desired in-the-air mechanics of the long jumper. The course also features several developmental drills that coaches can employ to enhance the performance of their long jumpers.

About Adrian Barr:

Adarian Barr enters his second season as an assistant coach for the UNC Pembroke men’s and women’s track and field teams in 2014-15. A former student-athlete, Barr brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the UNCP track and field program.

A three-time All-American and two-time PA USATF Master Champion in the triple jump and long jump, Barr graduated from California State University, Chico in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and received his master’s in physical education from Cal State, Chico in 2000.
