Lecture Title: Evolution of a Wrestling Official

Rex Anderson is a 30-year wrestling official at both the NCAA Division I, III, and III levels, as well as an NFHS high school official in the state of Texas the last 20 years. He has been selected to call 3 of the last 4 NCAA DIII national championships and has been a finals official in each of those tournaments. He has called the past 19 Texas High School State Championships. He has had the honor to lead the Texas Wrestling Officials a association for 8 of the pay 12 years as State President, and has given officiating clinics in 7 States on mechanics and leadership. He will talk about the Evolution of an official, and what hurdles need to be overcome to keep officials engaged, improving, and interested in our sport.
