    • Running To First
      • Unless the ball is hit into the outfield, the baserunner should always run through first base, keeping his eyes open for an opportunity to advance to second base. 
      • Try placing a coach about 10 feet behind the base and have the players high five him or her as they run through first base.
      • Make sure your players remember to turn into foul territory as they pass first base instead of turning into fair territory.
