β οΈ Not all schools have all academic programs. Be sure to view online when you are making your school listing....does the school have my program of interest!
Often times when you have schools located closer together or perhaps in the same urban centre; these schools will differ in their offerings and specialize in different academic areas.
Also important to note! Each program has different academic requirements for pre-courses and academic grade entries. As one would assume you have a competitive drive playing sports - the entry requirements are also competitive! What is listed on the school websites as entry or minimum requirement grades don't often guarantee entry in to the programs! The competitive average is often MUCH higher.
Competitive Average: the average high school entry grades of all applications for that specific program for that specific year.
Once you receive a conditional offer of acceptance - meaning you meet the requirements assuming you complete and successfully pass your grade 12 courses - you will be able to select classes. Selection of classes will differ again per school but often, athletes will be allowed to select classes for the entire school year to work around your training times allowing you to be a STUDENT-ATHLETE!
