    • Directional Slides
      • Directional slides are a varation of the hands-first slide technique. 
      • The baserunner must read both the positioning of the fielder and the location of the throw to know how to direct his slide. If the fielder is on the inside part of the base, the baserunner should slide to the outside, and vice versa.   
      • The baserunner should use his left hand when sliding into the outside part of the base and their right hand when sliding into the inside part of the base.
