      Todd Coburn, widely known as “The Catching Guy,” is one of the most sought-after catching coaches in the world, recognized for his unmatched passion for both the position and the art of teaching it. A lifetime catcher, Todd’s playing career includes being a former All-Conference catcher at Butte Junior College, a Division II College World Series participant at Cal Poly SLO, and a two-time Houston Astros draft pick before playing professionally in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. His extensive coaching background spans over 30 years, with roles as a collegiate catching coach, strength and conditioning coach, and founder of Gamer Baseball & The Catching Guy. Holding a Master’s in Kinesiology, Todd has shared his expertise as a featured speaker at major coaching conventions, authored "The View From Behind the Mask", and coached multiple Team USA NTIS medal-winning teams. With over 200,000 social media followers, his mission remains clear: to provide youth catchers with world-class instruction through nationwide camps and virtual programs, helping them develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.
