About

Eric Weissling is the Associate Head Coach of Fukushima Firebonds in Japan, B.League. Coach Weissling has also worked as Head Coach for the Vietnam Women's National Team, Assistant Coach Mexico Men's National Team, and as Head Coach of Venados de Mazatlan, Mexico FIBA and Hanoi Buffaloes, VBA Vietnam.

As a Xavier University graduate, Coach Weissling has a Master's degree in Coaching Education & Athlete Development, alongside a Bachelor's in General Business. In 2022 Coach Weissling won the Silver Medal in the SEA Games with the Vietnam Women's National Team as well as made the finals in Vietnam VBA. Coach Weissling spent the beginning of 2020 as an Assistant Coach for the Mexico Men's National Team in the FIBA AmeriCup qualifying rounds. His time in FIBA professional basketball includes the Mexican LNBP and CIBACOPA leagues as a Head Coach, winning a championship and coach of the year in 2016. Coach Eric was part of the Gold Medal winning Mexican National team in the FIBA Americas Championship of 2013. Prior to Mexico, Eric Weissling served with the San Antonio Spurs from 2004-2012 as a player assistant and locker room attendant.
