Baseball Flows (DNS+) “Batting CleanUp” Corrective Exercises

Description

The hitters who have the most success in baseball have some key characteristics:

 ⬆️ bat speed

⬇️ time to contact

⬆️ Adjustability

⬆️ body coordination

⬆️ power potential

⬆️ Movement Efficiency

The “Batting Cleanup” system was developed to clean up the “circuits” that slow the body down, patch up energy leaks and train the body to be more adjustable, dynamic and powerful.

Developed by Dr. Ismael Gallo, a former pro player in the Dodgers organization and Doctor of Physical Therapy.  Based  off the principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), which focuses on neuro developmental patterns and kinesiology.  It's a method that was developed out of Prague and is now being utilized by MLB pitching and hitting coaches all around the league.

Dr. Gallo was drafted because of his hitting tool, but regrets not having the knowledge about the human movement system.  Growing up he would spend countless hours hitting rocks on the train tracks and in the process he lost his natural motor patterns.  His hitting improved but his athleticism decreased.  If you spend countless hours hitting off a tee, in a cage or rocks on the train tracks but don’t develop the “circuits” to level up your neuromuscular patterns so that you can swing faster, harder and with greater adjustability. You are just wiring up a limited system.

The value of working with a movement specialist, such as Dr. Gallo, is that the player builds a natural and CLEAN movement system.  The job of a movement specialist is not to replace the hitting, pitching or S&C coach.  It’s to assist them by reprogramming, rewiring, restoring and maintaining ingrained natural motor patterns.

One of the biggest advantages of playing or practicing baseball with a CLEAN movement system is that it results in performing crucial and simple movements automatically, which allows you pay attention to more important things such as the baseball

For example, The hip hinge is a natural pattern of self organization.  The hitters or pitchers that struggle with the hip hinge do so because an underlined movement system restriction or instability.  We can hammer the player with hip hinge exercises until we’re blue in the face, but it won’t change in game situations until we clean up the underlining movement issue

The “Batting Cleanup” program consists of over 40 instructional videos, in which Dr. Gallo explains in great details the what he calls the "micro flows" & “core circuits” of hitting.  The small movements that all great hitters have mastered.

Train motor pattens involved in the load/gather, turn, impact position and follow through.  This is a unique movement system clean up program due to Dr. Gallo's experience in professional baseball and doctorate level education in Physical Therapy.  Dr. Gallo is recognized as a true visionary on how he teaches and interprets movement flow.
