Brad Hackett has significantly influenced collegiate track and field over his extensive career. After 15 years as an assistant coach at Division I institutions—Colgate University, Bucknell University, and Syracuse University—he became the head track and field coach at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 1999. ​
