    • Hips Separate with Demo

      1. Posture remains almost identical to posture before the stride.

      2. The bat stays back.

      3. The head remains still so the hitter is better able to perceive the ball and hit it.


      Coaching Tip

      After the stride, the energy moves from the legs up to the hips. The hips separate from the shoulders as the hips make a full turn, but the shoulders remain back.
