Lesson 17:
Backward crossovers
Excellent! You have already learned forward crossovers and it is time to know how to do backward crossovers correctly. Let's get started!
The arm further from the center of the circle should be in front of you, and the arm closer to the center should be behind you. If possible, look over your shoulder to make sure you do not hit anyone behind you. Keep your back straight, and put all your weight on the inside foot. Unlike forward crossovers, do not lift your outside leg. Push your inside leg out towards the outside of the circle. Replace this leg back into the inside of the circle. The more you practice, the easier and more graceful your backwards crossovers will get.
