Be organized!

Coaches are impressed when a student athlete has a set of questions they want to ask the coach - shows you have prepared for the time together. Just like your profile - make the questions you ask personable!

Make the questions specific to the school you are speaking to and/or visiting.

Ask questions that will ultimately guide your decision. Maximize your time you have with the head coach.

Don't waste the coaches time with questions that you received while attending an information session on recruiting. Be authentic, be different. Catch the attention of the coach!

Better ways to address the playing time question:

Be wary of coaches that promise a starting role or guarantee playing time.

  • How many players do you have at the same position you see me p
  • laying?
  • What role do you see me fulfilling within the team next year?
  • What plan do you have for me from now until my freshman year?
