Jahdae Barron

Jahdae Barron is a sophomore cornerback for the University of Texas Longhorns. Barron saw the field in 5 games as a freshman where he contributed with 3 tackles and a pass deflection. Barron also returned punts and scored a return touchdown in 2020. As a high school player at Connally HS in Pflugerville, Texas, Barron was an all -state and two time all district honoree. Barron was ranked the No. 47 cornerback nationally and No. 88 overall in the state of Texas by ESPN & rated the No. 70 cornerback nationally and No. 79 overall in the state of Texas by Rivals. He was also rated No. 127 nationally overall, No. 9 at cornerback and No. 20 overall in the state of Texas by 247Sports. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine ranked him as the top 2020 defensive back and the No. 63 player in Texas . Ranked No. 31 in the Austin American-Statesman’s 2020 Fabulous 55, and was the No. 6 defensive back and second-team 5A All-State as a utility player by the Texas Sports Writers Association in 2019.
