Jennie Baranczyk is the head coach for the University of Oklahoma women's basketball. Coach Baranczyk previously served as head coach at Drake where she obtained a 192-96 record, including 6 consecutive 20-win seasons, three NCAA tournament appearances, and two-time recipient of the Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year award. The 2021-22 season will be Baranczyk’s first season at the helm of the Sooners and has propelled them to a winning record in conference play and appearances in the AP Top 25.

Jennie played collegiately at the University of Iowa (2000-04) and was a three-time All-Big Ten Conference selection, earning first-team honors as a junior (2003) and second-team recognition as a sophomore (2002) and senior (2004).

Coach Baranczyk was part of an Iowa team that appeared in four postseasons, including three NCAA tournament berths, and the 2001 Big Ten Tournament title. Upon graduation with her bachelor’s in communications, she ranked in the top 10 of five major statistical categories for Iowa’s women’s basketball: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.

Baranczyk is married to her husband Scott and has a son, Eli, and two daughters, Jordi and Hope.
