About

If there is a coaching method out there on the planet, I am likely familiar with it. I study them all and have 12 years researching what are the most effective tennis instruction methods as my new book "The Real History of USA Tennis Instruction: How the Eyes Couldn't See What the Mind Didn't Know" comes out as an ebook in 2017. I am a tennis instruction historian who has worked with top coaches around the world, starting with Oscar Wegner in 2004. It was my observations that USA tennis was deeply divided over how best to teach "modern strokes" that led me to encourage Oscar Wegner to make the 2005 videos with Randy Ardenfriend and a subsequent series which I was involved with behind the scenes if not on them. My idea to create the Modern Tennis Methodology Coaching Association gave me the chance to learn personally on court from great coaches such as Susan Nardi to Chuck Tomlin, both innovators in the modern game and their great achievements will be recognized in my 2017 book. I had the youngest child (age 4) ever admitted to a top USA Academy, I have an interesting part in Victoria Duval's upset of Sam Stosur in the 2013 US Open which would likely not have occurred except for how she met Oscar Wegner. No player who walks onto my court does not walk off a better player with the ability to understand and retain what they have learned. If you want to start your child with the correct technical emulation that will ensure they play their best tennis, I am known for delivering results and have the testimonies and video to prove such. I specialize in helping adults make a quick transition to the modern game of playing naturally biomechanically.
