BIO

Bill Vasko is the founder of XO Coach and The Coaching Portfolio Guide, companies that focus on producing career development resources for coaches. He has over 25 years of experience as a coach and administrator at the high school and collegiate level, having served as an assistant and head coach in 3 different sports at the NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III levels.

Bill is currently the head softball coach at NCAA Division II Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. Previously, he served as an assistant softball coach at NCAA Division I UMass Lowell for four seasons. Prior to UMass Lowell, Bill coached at Division I Quinnipiac during the 2014 season and was the head coach at Division II Wheeling Jesuit from 2008-2011.

Prior to his time at Wheeling Jesuit, Bill was the Athletic Director and Co-Head Softball Coach at Buckeye Trail High School in Lore City, Ohio from 2002-2008. Bill's other coaching experience includes stints at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio (1999-2002) where he served as the assistant baseball coach and strength & conditioning coordinator. He held the same position at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio (1995-98) where he was also an assistant football coach. He also served as an assistant football coach at Denison University (1999), Otterbein College (1998), Ohio Wesleyan University (1994), and an undergraduate assistant football coach at The Ohio State University (1992-93).

Outside of coaching, Bill operates his own softball camp company for college bound student-athletes. He also spends time educating student-athletes and parents on the athletic recruiting process. He especially enjoys working with young athletes during the recruiting process, helping them to navigate the process and achieve their goals.
