    • Lunges & Lunge Variations
      • While performing any lunge variation, it is important to make sure that the knee of the bent leg does not go over your ankle. This is to ensure that a cheerleader is doing the stretch properly.
      • There are four different lunges that can be performed (hold for a minimum of 10 seconds):
      • Basic Lunge- Lift foot and step out. One knee should be bent and over the ankle.
      • Runners Lunge- Turn from the basic lunge and place both hands on the floor, keeping the back leg straight.
      • Third Position- Place the back knee on the floor and grab the foot.
      • Fourth Position- Lift up and lock out both legs and stretch.
