In this first section, we'll be looking at the specific skills that a striker can use to capitalize on scoring opportunities in game situations. As you've probably seen, the best strikers at the collegiate and professional levels are those that are the most efficient scoring the ball. At higher levels of play, a striker may only get one or two scoring opportunities in an entire game. This make each split-second and touch of the ball of vital importance. The technical skills that a striker uses to shoot and score must be practiced and mastered in order for them to be effective. We've intentionally ordered the sequence of the lessons in this section so that each subsequent skill builds upon the concepts introduced in previous drills. Improving technical play through practice and repetition will help players to build confidence in their ability to make the play when it counts.

Enjoy!
