Ch 15 No breathing floating progression
You can relax and float better than a hot dog if you inflate and hold air in your lungs! In shallow water you squat down and gently stretch out your body over the top of the water like you would on your mattress at home. When you keep your head down in between your arms that will keep your legs and feet up. Now to stand up just bring your knees to your shoulders to get into a ball and rotate your butt down so that you can see your feet plant on the pool or lake bottom. Then you stand up. Be sure to keep your arms and legs together to be streamlined. Suck in your stomach to prevent rolling over.

Most people think of only one kind of floating in the face down position. Actually there are seven kinds of floating positions and another five kinds of skills to improve your floating ability.
