1-3-1 Half Court Trap Defense (Game Film Breakdown)Views: 1591$9.99
In this 30 minute video we walk through the 1-3-1 half court trap in great detail. First we look at how the defense functions before walking through the keys to running it well. We then go through each position and show clips of players running their assignment effectively, and clips of them not executing well. And finally, we watch some full game clips and try to indentify the different errors that were made during the possession in execution. The 30 minute video is all chopped up high school game film, moderated to explain all the small details. If you're considering an aggressive trap defense, or already run this trap and want a fresh look, this video will be a great resource for you!
What they are saying:
"Although there might be tons of material out there on the 1-3-1 zone defense, Coach Hackenberg's product on it is very simple and easy to follow. He also includes a video breakdown which was very helpful!"Views: 1591$9.99 -
Zone OR Man TacticsViews: 491$13.99
*Learn 7 concepts that function BOTH against zone or man-to-man defense in under 1 hour
My aim with this guide is to establish concepts that can be incorporated into your playbook to maximize the efficiency of the playbook. Add one, get two, or even three…
Whether you see man-to-man or zone defense, these concepts function. No more adding a bunch of plays and not using them.
This guide won’t completely solve any playbook bloating issues, but it can contribute towards a reduced and more efficient playbook.
Another reason I love these concepts is that they can be used at times when you’re unsure of what to call.
Often times, opposing coaches will change defenses during a timeout or between quarters. So these plays are great to call in those moments because whether the defense comes out in man-to-man or zone defense, your call will likely work. No more calling a play in the huddle, recognizing the defense has changed, and scrambling to amend the play call.
With each of the concepts in this guide, I will demonstrate how the play works against man-to-man defense, and also how it works against zone defense, with only a slight modification.

High School Basketball ArchitectureViews: 499$13.99
*Learn my 5 favorite detailed recommendations for building a vertical high school basketball program in under 2 hours
The purpose of this guide is to provide an answer to the following question:
"If I were to begin as the new head coach of a high school basketball program, what would I do?"
I’m talking about big picture initiatives that move the needle on your basketball program, not recommending a backdoor set or a byline in your discipline policy. I’m talking about things that take vision to implement, but will pay off handsomely for years and years if executed correctly. The guide goes into detail on how to execute big picture, big payoff program builders like a Little Dribblers Program, Tip Off Dinner, and Program Pillars.
These concepts are how the most common community basketball programs gain an advantage over their competitors.
For the coaches out there that view themselves as an architect of their high school basketball program, intentionally designing the program to max out its potential, this guide is for you!

Win the Recruiting Game in High School BasketballViews: 631$11.99
Disclaimer: This product deals with players transferring from high school to high school. This is not a guide on players getting recruited from high school to the college level
Whether you like it or not, high school basketball is becoming more and more transient in nature. In the copycat nature of basketball, things tend to filter down. This applies to basketball schemes and concepts, but it also applies to off the court concepts like player mobility. In professional basketball we have the formation of “super teams” and free agents requesting to be traded one year into a five year, 100 million dollar contract with fresh ink. In college basketball we have the “transfer portal” and “Name Image and Likeness (NIL) agreements.” These concepts have major implications on how people behave and think at the levels of basketball below.
You have a couple choices as a coach:
1. Complain about the way things are and yearn for the times of the past when it wasn’t a complete free for all in player mobility2. Adapt and adjust to meet the times and best position your program to keep your players, and even grab players from other programs if you so desire
This guide talks about the three ways to position yourself in the high school recruiting game to WIN!

High Low Synergy PlaybookViews: 868$12.99
*Learn the technical aspects of the high low game as well as 5 schemes with counters in under 1 hour (46 page document)
I’ve been fortunate to have some “big“ teams in my coaching career. But the teams I’ve coached that have been blessed with size, weren’t the first teams of my coaching career. I had to learn. I had to adjust from a drive and kick style of coaching, from when I had mostly guards, to a system that could feature post players, and even multiple post players at once.
It seems like a coaching no brainer... You just stick your tall guys on the block and throw it in there, right? Well, I think a lot of coaches started with some version of this thinking and quickly found out that it’s not that simple.
I was looking for ways to utilize big men effectively, and what I found was that the best way to do that was through a HILO (high low) game, keeping the ball in the middle third of the court. This 46 page document is my exploration of the HILO game, and the variations I’ve used to create this action in some different ways that all result in actions that made post sealing and post passing easier, while removing some of the help side defense.
I found these actions helped create efficient shots, draw more fouls on our opponents, and dictate a slower pace to a game when we wanted to do that.

How to Win as A Severe Underdog (in High School)Views: 1667$9.99
Disclaimer: This product is written from the stand point of not having a shot clock. Clock manipulation is a key element in this strategy.
Most all coaches have been there unless they are incredibly lucky. Face to face with an opponent that has way more material than you do. What are you going to do? This 48 minute game film break down shares the strategies we used for years to play in a conference with several basketball powerhouses, who frankly, we didn't belong on the court with. Through these strategies we consistently competed, and even won a few major upset victories.
This is a 48 minute video of collective game clips showing the various strategies in real game action, with my voiceover.

Tempo 4 Talent - Finding the right schemes to suit your talentViews: 798$11.99
*Learn new strategies to create the most favorable game for your team in 1.5 hours
How do you create the most favorable game for your team to play in?
This is a two step process: First, you evaluate your own team to understand the type of game they need to play to be successful, then, second, you implement the schemes and use strategies to force your opponent to play the style of game you want.
In this 42 page guide I share the four general ways to control the tempo of a game, and then give 5-7 schemes and/or strategies for each to help you create the most favorable game for your team.
Every coach has a preference and comfort level for schemes they prefer.
But every high school coach has ebbs and flows of talent through their program from season to season, and within pockets of seasons as the years go by. We all want to position our teams the best possible way for success.
To do this, we as coaches have to understand how to manipulate the schemes we choose to give our teams the best chance to win as much as we possibly can. This can be done on a year-to-year basis in the big picture, or on a game-to-game basis when we zoom in.
This doesn’t have to involve abandoning the schemes we are inclined to, but it does mean we need to strategically choose schemes based on the talent and capabilities of our personnel for specific games - or even for a full season.
This guide breaks down how to manipulate pace of play to most benefit your teams. It will discuss the theory of how to dictate pace, and what schemes and strategies you can use to achieve the pace of play your team needs.

Chino Hills Playbook (2015-16)Views: 1429Free
Enjoy this freebie! My paid content is very detailed. Check it out. The Chino Hills team from 2015-16 really pushed the limits on playing an aggressive, uptempo style. They were supremely talented, and let their talent go with the schemes they chose. I love how simple they kept things. They never tried to overcomplicate their scheme, relying more on their individual abilities, and the cohesiveness of their top 5 players. While the system wasn't overly complicated, no one can argue with the results - 35-0, state championship, and the concensus #1 overall team in the country for high school basketball that season.

Wave - The Euro Ball Screen OffenseViews: 2265$19.99
In 2014, the team I was coaching lost in the Ohio High School State Finals to a GREAT defensive team. We ran our entire offensive package (dribble drive, sets, high ball screens, etc.) at them and could not get great looks. The feeling from that game led me on a search to find a great continuity offense that included screening, ball reversals and the option to use it for interior shots or perimeter shots.
The search culminated in finding the 5-Out Euro Ball Screen Offense from watching the Olympics. We took the basics of the offense, added some bells and whistles, and made it something that could accomplish all we were looking for in an offense. We incorporated sets out of the flow of the offense, motion numbered cutting principles and various entries to spice things up.
The guide for sale is a 45 page extremely detailed pages on this offense and all the teaching points involved in making it your offense.

Flow - Roll & Replace Ball Screen ContinuityViews: 1584$15.99
This is a 51 page guide filled with everything you would need to know about the offense to install, drill, correct, and tweak the offense. It's filled with diagrams and explanations, with no stone left unturned.
After running the Euro Ball Screen Offense for years, I decided I wanted an offense that could really let my guards have space to create. See, it isn’t any fault of the Euro Ball Screen Offense, and I loved the time I spent running and teaching that offense, but I always felt like the space coming off the ball screen was a little limited by the spacing. So I went to my FastDraw laboratory and started tinkering. I tried different formations, alignments, and movement patterns, eventually coming up with what we now call “Flow.” I kept a lot of the features I loved about the Euro Ball Screen Offense, and carved out a little more space to favor the guards being able to be creative off the ball screens.
Flow is a high ball screen, roll and replace continuity offense with DDM principles. Flow has freedom, space, and movement. Flow features three guards and two post players to deplore all the options in the offense, but a guard can be shifted into one of the post positions if it fits your personnel better (we did this commonly). Flow is meant to feature the guards, providing them space to create and make decisions but has great options for the post players as well.

I promise that there is no finer product in print for teaching The Flow than the one offered here by Coach Matt Hackenberg. From the whole to the finest details, Coach Hack breaks it down and teaches it in a way that will turn any coach who studies his product into an expert." -Matt Kramer, Ohio

5-Out Dribble Drive “Backdoor”Views: 415$13.99
*Learn how one concept can be used across multiple applications to improve your team in 1.5 hours
Disclaimer: A portion of the strategy involved with this concept does include using the threat of the shot clock to your advantage. DO NOT purchase this guide if you coach with a shot clock and AND are particularly interested in the game management feature of this offense.
This guide will introduce you to a 5-out concept I call “Backdoor.” I have used it my entire coaching career - every single season. No matter what personnel I have on any given season, there is always a reason to install this concept, because it has multiple functions.
I use this offense to manage the clock, to attack pressure defenses, and I use this offense to teach my players our fundamentals. In seasons when we are undermanned more often than not, we use the offense as a tactic to combat pressure defense and manage the clock quite a bit. Each and every season we use this offense to teach fundamentals.

Special Teams (BLOB, SLOB, Late Game Situations, and More)Views: 739$14.99
With so much focus on some of the more obvious strategies of a basketball team like offensive systems, defensive systems, transition systems or team culture, some of the smaller strategies can become an fterthought. I see that as a tremendous opportunity to gain an advantage! Some of the smaller strategies may only gain your team small advantages, but those small advantages add up - especially when you get smaller advantages in several phases of the game at once.
That is the reason I wanted to share some thoughts in these 39 pages on “special teams.” Special teams are the in-between situations in a game. Some coaches have strategies for these phases, and others don’t spend the time or energy to optimize. Deciding not to spend time or energy on a particular smaller phase is certainly fine, but it should be a decision. You shouldn’t disregard these areas out of ignorance. With each phase I’ll share some advice, and then discuss how I handle these situations specifically.
I’ve spent nine years as a head coach and three as an assistant. The thoughts I share are designed to help you think through these in-between phases of the game to decide if you want to invest time and energy into organizing them. The specific strategies I share with you are the strategies I’ve used with my teams, and with great success.

Your Best Tryouts EVERViews: 324$9.99
*Learn how to run your best tryout ever in under 1 hour
<61 PAGES IN LENGTH>
No matter the level, I always, always, always want to get tryouts right. The long standing impact for a player making the team or not making the team is HUGE - and that’s something I want to personally respect.
Aside from the long term impact to player, we have a team to bring together. And nothing establishes the team more than how it is formulated. To make quick decisions during a tryout, usually over the course of one to three days, a lot of information needs processed in a very short amount of time.
The last thing you want to do is feel rushed or fooled during the tryout process, leaving your team incomplete or vulnerable to chemistry issues based on the a judgement that was either uninformed or overly sentimental.
How you prepare and how you structure the tryout can play a major role in the ability to make clear decisions. The object of this guide isn’t make tryouts stress free, because that’s likely never going to be the case. The goal of this guide is to understand how to “control the controllables,” so you can make the best decisions moving forward for your program.
I’ve directly executed a dozen tryouts as the lead in my coaching career, and oversaw many, many more working directly with the youth and middle school levels of the school districts I’ve led. It’s never perfect. There are always surprises. But through the years, we’ve put systems in place to have tryouts run smoothly.
I’ve cut hundreds of players from teams - not something I’m proud of. Honestly, it’s the part of the job I enjoy the least - but it is part of the job. Being able to make cuts the the classiest way possible helps be able to move on from the event with a clear conscious, knowing you did right by all the players, even the ones that don’t get to go along on the journey with your team.
These are the lessons I’ve learned from executing tryouts, hoping that from the lessons I’ve learned you can have a cleaner and more healthier process with your tryouts.

This product includes:
-30 page detailed PDF
-43 minute online clinic
Once I got a taste of this offense, it wasn't long before it became the base offense for our entire program. There were just so many things to like about the offense. It is easy to teach, has interchangable positions, and a spread out alignment to name just the few that started my love affair. Little did I know, I had only scratched the surface to being able to understand and teach the offense.
In a few years, the action has gone from a simple set play to a more complex system that we run a majority of our games. As the offense got more complex, it got more fun, for our players and our coaches, but moreso, it became harder to stop. So this 30 page PDF and 43 minute virtual clinic is the detailed collection of ideas and thoughts on installing this offense as our base offense in our grade 7-12 school. Enjoy!

-1-1-3 Diagrams - How all the slides work, and how to drill it
-1-1-3 Raw Clips - 11 minutes of tightly edited game film clips
-1-1-3 Breakdown Film - 28 minutes of film with commentary about the execution
This is NOT a 2-3 zone with stacked guards. This is a unique zone that not a lot of coaches are familiar with. It features unique slides not seen in other standard zones. Out of a zone, it allows you to deny reversal passes, extend it up the court into a press defense, and is very strong up the middle defending high ball screens and the high post.
This zone allows x5 to stay close to the basket quite often, but ultimately speed and execution are more important than size in the 1-1-3 defense. It contains the post well, allowing a lot of post fronting and quick post traps.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORTE thing I love about the 1-1-3 defense is that you can train it almost purely in your breakdown drills, without playing 5 on 5.If you're looking for something unique that can cause a lot of confusion, give the 1-1-3 a hard look.

I love a lot of things about this offense. I love that it has interchangable positions - any player can play any spot. I love that it creates opportunities for a lot of high percentage shots - we are creating a lot of cuts to the rim, post ups, and clear out drives.
I love the continuity element. It flows. There aren’t many “sticking points” within the offense. We are able to move the ball, examine the options, look to score in a variety of ways, all without the ball ever sticking in a player’s hands or sticking on one side of the court.
The offense has a variety of ways to score. It’s versatile, with options to post, screen, drive, flare, split cut, and backdoor cut. A single defense can’t key in on any of those elements and lock it down. Keying on one element of the offense only opens up the others.
To go along with versatility, the scoring options combine to make an offense that plays well against any style of defense. - gap, deny, switching, etc. Against some styles of defense you may lean on certain options more than others, but there are answers to each style of defense you will see.

"Really excited about implementing the 5 out Upscreen Offense. I was looking for something like this to feature all 5 players on the floor. No doubt we are going to be better because of this!" -Greg Brown, Jefferson High School
"I love the quality screening actions and post opportunities the Upscreen Offense gives. I’ve run 5-Out Motion for 15 years, and this gives us a continuity to run that compliments our true motion. It’s an awesome compliment! -Brian Rea, Palmyra, MO
"I was able to run this with my team this week and utilize the drills and tips for a very quick implementation of the offense. The product contains drills, tips, and adjustments based off what defense is being played. I’m very excited to run this as an additional offense this season!" -Connor Cunningham
"I like this offense because it’s going to give our big guard some more looks in the post on top of space for driving." -Jon Henegar, Kewanee Illinois
"The 5 Out Upscreen Offense has the potential for so many great wrinkles it is hard to scout. Love it!!" -Philip Whitley, Rockport, MA
"We have installed the 5-Out Upscreen Continuity because it really fits our personnel in the half court setting. And it seamlessly flows right out of our transition!" -Zachary Carter, Pacific Northwest
"I really love the fact that you can implement Princeton concepts within this offense... I feel you can really keep a defense off-balance. I’ve recommended it to my friend and he is going to purchase it too." -Jay, Northern California
"The 5-Out Upscreen is my new favorite offense and the guide gives many good ideas and makes the implementation easy". -Ryan Goins, Indianapolis, Indiana
"I love the details of the 5-Out Upscreen offense. I incorporated the upscreen as part of my zoom actions and now am able to get the ball easier into the post after the repost. Great actions!" -Randy Narciso, Los Angeles, CA
"The upscreen package caught my eye right away! We have been a dribble drive team but struggle with creativity.. need more structure this year." -Rich Thompson, Central Illinois
"I had been studying 5-out continuity offenses with the hope of finding one that still leaves most of the decision making in the hands of our players. The 5-Out Upscreen Continuity avoids complexity and is very effective while providing multiple opportunities for our players to make reads. It’s exactly what I was looking for!" -Shannon Garrison, Lexington, NC
"The 5-Out Upscreen Continuity was well written, easy to understand material. The offense allows for lots of player and ball movement, presenting skilled kids opportunities to make plays within its framework." -Joe Zenir, Brecksville Broadview Hts Girls Varsity Coach
"I tried the 5-Out Upscreen Offense with my senior girls after buying the product. I knew I had made the right choice when they asked if we could work on it more the next day. Easy to implement, yet very effective." -Collin Wilkerson, Hermitage, Arkansas
"We have been running a version of Bob Huggins Pinch Post offense for years and will definitely incorporate some of these concepts." -Étienne Couture, Beloeil, Canada
"I think using the 5-Out Upscreen is a great idea especially if you use zoom motion. I think it gives a new wrinkle. I'm giving This a 5 star" -Bob Willey
"This is a great product - very easy to understand and implement. Thank you." -Michele Puopolo, Italy
"This is great offense - all the options plus the Princeton integration creates excellent ball movement that makes it difficult for any defense to keep up with." -Daken Skouson, Mesa, AZ
"The 5-Out Upscreen Continuity packet and videos are great! I am looking forward to installing this with my varsity girls this season! Thank you for all that you do!" -Micah B. Reutzel, Fredericktown, Missouri
"I love the fact that the offense can be used as a delay or primary offense - looking for both. Really like the terminology of ‘punch the gap’ for back door action. Also, the ‘six ways to score’ is great because I can see us using a lot of small side games to teach the concepts and rep the reads. Really excited about it overall!" -Aaron Hall
"I like the 5-Out Upscreen as a change up. Previously our change up was the Circle Offense you posted, which I bought the package, and it worked well whenever our primary continuity got flat or we needed a different look... You're one of the coaches providing excellent value for the basketball community." -Jackson Gibbons, City of London Academy
"The reason why I love the 5-Out Upscreen Offense so much is because of the interior looks it develops, not to mention the great backdoor looks. Coach Hack explains how this offense works and it's various actions so clearly, in a simple way (which coaches need sometimes). The PDF is really extensive and detailed, and goes through each counter, set, and consideration on the offense. The video of the drill progressions include in this package was also very helpful!" -Eli Hazen, Brooklyn, New York

From my personal basketball playing career to my time as a young assistant coach, I found the teams I was involved with mostly all had the same solution to zone offense. The solution was mostly to plant players into the gaps of the zone and have them stand there, passing the ball around until the zone couldn’t shift fast enough and an outside shot presented itself. We’ve all seen this. Against a 2-3 zone the offense forms a 1-3-1 alignment with a point guard, two wings, a high post and low post. Aside from that, there would be some tricky zone set plays with player movement that tended to work if they were executed as designed, but usually only worked once or twice per game before the defense caught on.
When I got my first varsity high school head coaching job at the age of 26, I was in search of something more. I was young enough and bold enough to be open to trying something new, and I wasn’t set in my ways as a basketball coach. I knew there had to be something more out in the coaching world than what I had previously been exposed to. I wanted to find something that could be executed all game long like the traditional zone offense of standing in the gaps, but offered more movement and options like a zone set play. I searched and I searched, but didn’t find anything that fit what I was looking for. So I decided to create my own scheme, and that creation ended up being named “Zone Motion.” It’s nothing revolutionary, but it’s proved to be successful year after year.
What buyers are saying:
"We added Zone Motion this season coach; thanks a ton. We are a guard oriented team and it suits us well. Insanely simple and unpredictable for the defense." -Terry Buckner, McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. Mobile, Alabama
"I’ve been struggling to find the right zone offense for my team. They don’t like running the static type of 1-3-1 zone attack, and we don’t (yet) have the shooters to run a full drive and kick style zone offense. Coach Hackenberg’s Zone Motion offense seems to give our team the right balance of movement (both player and ball), enough of an inside presence to score easy lay-ups and the ability to kick out when required to our (developing) 3 point shooters. As a bonus it can also easily adapt to attacking a 3-2 and 1-3-1 zones as well. If you are looking for something different for your zone offense, the Zone Motion option is a highly recommended option." -Adrian B., Australia
"I was so tired of the stagnation in our zone offense so I went looking for answers. I found Zone Motion and never looked back. It's so simple, but can be customized to meet the needs of any personnel to attack a zone." -Adam U., Virginia
"I really like this concept of having one Zone Offense that will work against almost any Zone Defensive alignment. Rotating multiple players through the middle of a Zone puts a lot of pressure on opponents to figure out who and what to cover. The post player on the baseline is well placed for their particular skill set and also causes problems for the defense. Coach Hackenberg gives a great breakdown of the simple rules, diagrams of various options, and even a multitude of Zone Specials you can add, which I particularly like." Terry Battenberg, California
"One thing I was struggling with this off season is what offense to put in against a zone. Zone Motion is a tremendous resource, as with all the other resources available on Coach Hackenberg's site." -Garrett Hickey @Coach_Hickey5
"We use Zone Motion and many of your quick hitters... They work beautifully against the 2-3 zone. We appreciate it!" -John S.
"Love Zone Motion.... I started running this a couple years ago and my kids love it.... Gives them a little more control and keeps the other team guessing." -Chris M., Oklahoma
"The Zone Motion book is very easy to read... I felt confident installing with my team, and they learned to execute it at a high level very quickly"-Mike S., Florida

Athletic Development Guide (Team Lifting/Conditioning Program)Views: 1314$9.99
The sport of basketball requires a very unique blend of strength, balance, speed and endurance. Because of that, the plan to develop this unique blend of athleticism can be a complex problem to solve. This program outlines what our basketball program does to best develop the athleticism needed to become more equipped to excel at the sport of basketball. Even though the problem is complex, we must try to find the simplest solution. In our program, we keep the core of what we do simple and branch off from there to wherever our athletes need to go.
The sole purpose of this strength and conditioning program is to make a stronger, bigger, faster, better-conditioned athlete, who is less susceptible to injury. With that being said, in basketball we want strong upper bodies, but the bigger focus is placed on lower body and core training to avoid getting too top heavy. The is a dense, 27 page guide.Views: 1314$9.99 -

Wolf Pack - Paint Control Gap DefenseViews: 1495$19.99
*Learn a proven system to protect the paint and make your opponent earn their points
The is a dense, 52 page document on The Wolfpack Defense System, and includes a 2 game film study on the defense. The film study is defensive clips only from a 2 game stretch through the district championships.
The Wolfpack is a defensive system of play to disrupt offenses with ball pressure and protect the paint from penetration by the dribble or pass. The guide describes how implement the system including many small points emphasis to help the defense come together. A complete drill package is included in the guide for implementation purposes.
We implemented this defensive system in 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville, Ohio and set the school record for defensive points allowed 3 separate times in 4 years. During our four seasons running this defense, we made it to the state championship game one time and to the regional level (final 16 or 8 teams in our division) the other three seasons.
If you are looking for a defensive system to control the paint and stop your opponent from getting high percentage shots, the Wolfpack may be right for you. What people are saying: "I've purchased coach Hackenberg's Wolf Pack man to man defense because I was looking for a defensive system that shares my beliefs, and this is exactly what I wanted. Since purchasing it I've been able to implement it with my jv and varsity teams with no problems" -Eli H., Brooklyn, NY

Deny & Disrupt - Half Court Pressure Man DefenseViews: 1706$8.99
This 13 page guide consists of the teaching points and descriptions on how to install a pressure man to man defense. It is an aggressive system based on putting pressure on the offense by denying passes and funneling the ball to the sideline. As with any defense, there are pros and cons to the system. This system plays well to attack the offense, cause turnovers, and defend the three point line, but has some vulnerabilities, most commonly in allowing dribble penetration and fouling. If taught properly and precisely, the strengths of the defense can be heightened and the weaknesses diminished.
I think this system can be for any team that can teach and execute, not just teams that have superior athleticism. Great athletes certainly help defending the ball in space and rotating quickly, but ultimately the technique and execution is what will make this system successful.Views: 1706$8.99 -

Program Organization Starter PackViews: 1579$9.99
This is 7 simple documents we use in our program to help keep us organized. It doesn't not include video, only written documents. If you feel like their are too many loose ends in your program, you are not alone, but these documents can help. The 7 documents include:
Season Checklist - This is a 150+ item checklist of all the things that need done within the program throughout the season. I always felt like identifying the tasks is step number one to being able to execute the way I want to within the program.
Preseason Parent Packet - After we make cuts, and around the time we start our official practices, we have a meeting with all the players and parents in the program. This meeting is a tone setter for the whole season and very important. This is where you sell your vision as a coach and set up all the boundaries and expectations for both the players and parents of the program. We go through, and send the parents home with, a large packet that includes all the key information and details for the season.
Practice Plan - This is a sample of three practice plans from a previous season. It lays out how we allocate our time and what we are going to track. Each coach is provided a plan each day.
Media Day Outline - This outline shows how we got all the promotional aspects of our program out of the way on one day early in the season. If you are going to try to promote your program, it's better to do it all at once instead of scrambling all throughout the season for various things.
Social Media Plan - This is another internal document our coaching staff used to divide and conquer the various social media outlets we divided to use. Executing on social media is becoming the status quo, so having a plan to execute is important.
Newsletter - This is an actual newsletter we are using as a sample to see how we structure and promote things within our program. The image you promote to your community Is very important.
Middle School Evaluation Form - This is a form I give to the middle school coaches to use during tryouts. Sometimes we have upwards of 120 players trying out for 42 middle school spots, so we want to make sure everyone received an evaluation and that we have documentation if it was needed for any reason.
