James Vint

Football Coach and Clinician

About

Coach Vint was an offensive, defensive, and special teams coordinator for 25 years at the high school and college levels. He most recently was the offensive coordinator at Lubbock Estacado, where they built one of the top 4A Programs in Texas. In 2019, Vint led a Matador Offense that racked up 6,000 yards of total offense while averaging nearly 9 yards per play.

Vint is known for being an innovator on offense. He was one of the first coaches to implement the pistol offense, and has been on the forefront of RPO's and Tempo. In 2001 Vint employed his first post snap RPO concept, which he has now evolved into a system that is adaptable to every offensive system. He has been a part of some of the most explosive offenses in the game.

As a defensive coordinator, Vint led one of the biggest turnarounds in the state. He took a defense that gave up 40 points a game and posted 6 shutouts in his first season leading the defense. Vint's version of the multiple odd stack defense is being used by programs throughout the country.

Vint's success in all three phases, as well as building championship programs, has helped him become one of the most sought after clinicians in the game today. Known as a master teacher, Vint brings you complex material in a way that is understandable to coaches at all levels. In 2019 he was named the Assistant Football Coach of the Year by the Texas Tech Chapter of the National Football Foundation. He is a widely sought after speaker, and has been featured at Glazier Clinics, Nike Coach of the Year Clinics, and state association clinics.
