    Send 'Em In Drill

     view description
    • Send 'Em In Drill:
This drill is designed to improve players' passing, dribbling and decision-making skills. Players also can work on their defensive and ball-challenging skills.

Each team tries to maintain possession of the ball within their designated half. The team not in possession can send in two players to their opponents' half in an attempt to steal the ball.
When they gain possession, they get the ball quickly into their half and attempt to maintain possession against their opponents, who can send in two players to win back the ball.
For example, Team A begins with the ball and passes around in its half. Two Team B players immediately enter Team A's half to challenge for the ball. One Team B player quickly steals the ball and passes to his fellow defending teammate, who dribbles into the Team B half. Team B passes the ball around in its half, and Team A sends in two players to win back the ball.
If desired, keep score based on the number of passes a team strings together (e.g., five passes equal one point.)

Progression: You can create a two-touch condition, allow more defenders to be sent in, and/or reduce one team's playing area.
