    Triangular Touches Drill

     view description
    • Triangular Touches Drill:

The purpose of this drill is to improve players' first touch on the ball when receiving a pass.
We also want players to practice using the outside of their feet and to work on good passing technique with the inside of either foot.

Progression: The drill begins with Player A passes to Player B, who controls with the outside of the foot, then passes back to Player A. In this technique, the ball should be controlled diagonally to allow the player to easily transition into his next pass.
Make sure players practice controlling and passing the ball with either foot.
Try turning this drill into a game: Have all pairs play to be the first to reach 10 passes in a row without taking more than two touches or hitting any cones.
