    Roll Dodge Technique

     view description
    • Roll Dodge Technique

Roll dodges are useful when a player has the ball behind the cage.

The goal of a roll dodge is to get the defender to commit to one side.

The player should show movement in one direction.

The player plants his pivot foot as close as possible to the defender.

The player peeks over his shoulder to see teammates' slides.

The player should protect his stick with his body.

Seal step to execute dodge should be north-south (end line to end line).

The player accelerates out of the roll dodge.

The player should keep two hands on his stick when coming out of the roll.

The player can drop his stick for a shot or feed only after creating space from the defender.
