Tutorial Showing a Good Low Single Leg Takedown Level Change Warm Up Drill. Great Warmup Drill For Coaches. This simple warm-up is a great drill to run at wrestling practice.
This video is for folkstyle and freestyle wrestling, but it is also a great warmup for any type of grappling. This warm-up drill will get your athlete's heart rate going, get a sweat going, work on conditioning, and works on technique as well.
The shot is similar to a shot you would take when shooting for a low single leg takedown because you are lowering your level all the way down and knee sliding. It is a great way to practice that quick level change you need to have a good low single leg.
This video is good for coaches looking to brush up on their wrestling knowledge, but also for people who are new to wrestling and looking for instruction, for people just beginning or learning wrestling, or for anyone who wants to improve their wrestling basics or fundamentals.
Recently, I started a wrestling-based charity. It is called "Wrestling Shoes For you" and is aimed at donating wrestling gear (shoes, headgears, kneepads, etc.) to underprivileged youth. If you could stop my Facebook page and give it a like/possibly donate any old gear you have laying around, it will help a great cause.
