    Push-Pull Drill

    • Push-Pull Drill

Line up two players facing each other with their sticks in their hands at chest level.

One player will then push the other across the ice, using the appropriate long stride technique.
After crossing the ice, players switch roles and the one who had provided resistance can push the other back to the starting position.

Throughout this exercise, emphasize to your players to keep their heads up, their bodies low and to use long strides.

      Coaching Tip:

Kids love competitions, so making this drill into a race will help kids focus on the proper technique. The kids who use the appropriate technique will be the ones who will win most often!
