    1 v. 1 to Target

     view description
    • 1 v. 1 to Target:
      • As this is primarily a dribbling exercise, attackers should refrain from attempting to knock off the ball from a great distance.
      • Play continues until the attacker succeeds or loses possession of the ball. In either circumstance, the players switch directions and roles (i.e., the defender becomes the attacker and dribbles toward the opposite ball and cone).
      • As the goal is to simulate game-realistic pressure, defenders should apply full defensive pressure. Attackers should work hard, using creative dribbling techniques, to beat the defender.
      • The intensity level of this drill can be tiring. Keep your intervals short and give players breaks every few minutes.
