- Be sure the pitcher keeps her body position tall, not bent-over or leaning.
  
  The release of the ball should always be at the hip.
  
  It also should be on line with the stride and catcher.
  
  If the release is behind the hip, the pitch will go down out of the strike zone.
  
  If the release point is in front of the hip, the ball will go up and out of the strike zone.
  
  Consistency with strikes is in the release at the hips.
