Lesson 186:
11 Lines - GBO, Peak, Clear
11 Lines to the goal is an amazing drill that teaches many different facets of the game. The drill begins with a ground ball and the concept of Ground Ball Offense or GBO, which is whoever picks up the ground ball moves it in the air to the first open player they see. Then that player makes another pass ASAP ideally across the field. From there the offense is in a 6v5 situation or the defense is clearing.
In the offensive 6v5 situation we always create some types of movement to create a more dynamic and realistic situation where our defense learns how to pressure the ball and rotate while our offense learns how to execute the concepts like Dodge, Pass, Pass Dodge or other movements and motions.
Our "2nd rep" goes to the offense on the end line and we work on an out of bounds play that the defense defends as if they're all even with full ball pressure while the offense tries to score.
You and your players will love this drill!
