Uneven Build up is a great way develop your players on both sides of the ball.  Here's the build up: 3v2, 4v3, 5v4, 6v5, 6v5.  I make this a competitive game where if the offense scores 3 it's a tie, 2 they lose, and 4 they win.  Losers do 5 push ups!  I have the offense pick on and off ball simultaneously throughout the drill (except 3v2 where only one pick occurs) or a 12 second shot clock comes on.

Defensively I require ball pressure and rotations to simulate all even defense while the offense picks on and off ball simulating all even offense.  This puts extra stress on the D being man down and opens up backside looks for the offense where they can swing the ball move it and find "One more's."

The players love uneven build ups and we can create all even type of play while in an uneven situation which fosters great ball movement and great defensive rotations!

this is a great way to learn how to move the ball in the middle of 2man games, which is a HUGE part of the Principles Based Offense! When I was coaching the Brown Women's team in a preseason camp (video above) we had a ball movement breakthrough in this game/drill environment.

Here's an example of a bunch of HS girls running the same drill!
