     view description
    • The next technique to pradtice is the lead power uppercut, whcih is strike number 5. The uppercut is another circular strike in which very similiar to the hook in its mechanics. However has some limitations we need to address first. Due to its trajectory the uppercut can only be used at very close distances. This strike's line of force follows the vertical plane on the clock (from 6 to 12). The uppercut allows you to srike either on centerline or on a angle slightly off centerline to either the upper gate or mid gate areas of the body. Again, remeber to srike with the fist in the horizontal position, parallel to the floor, with the forearm centered behind the fist. Practcie loading your legs in squat like position and push the floor with your legs and then release the arm to and through the target, twisting your torso in the same line of force as your arm.
