Player Buy-In - This is Vital! In order to secure buy-in from players, you need to educate your players on how Mindfulness will help them improve their games! 

In addition, what helps to solidify buy-in is when all parties around your basketball program are also carrying forward your message for Mindfulness. Here is what I mean.

Coaching staff Buy-In: Making sure your coaching staff is on board with your message is very important. If they are not, it is going to be very difficult to successfully onboard a Mindfulness Initiative for your team. When players hear the same message from all coaching staff members, it helps to reinforce the Mindfulness Initiative.

Staff Buy-In: Also important, if possible is to have other staff members, or management on board as well. In some cases, this is not feasible. However, if you are successful with this, it makes it that much easier for players to BUY-IN.
