Lesson 21:
Frisbee Toss (Mitt Position)
The majority of the time, the mitt will start in a thumb down (around 6 o'clock) vertical position and the mitt will be turned as quickly as possible to a horizontal (thumb around 3 o'clock) position as the ball is being received.
The Frisbee Toss Mitt Position drill is a great way for the catcher to receive immediate visual feedback if they in fact get their mitt hand to the correct position. If the Frisbee is horizontal (flat), they've done it correctly.
