Lesson 8:
Rolling Blocks
A common mistake, especially for young catchers, is to either not get their mitt all the way down or to get the mitt down but then lift it when the ball is about to hit the ground.
We want to get our mitt down and keep it down.
A great way to practice this is to perform Rolling Blocks. If the catcher lifts their hands or don't get the all the way down, the ball will go under them because it is literally rolling on the ground.
