Lesson 6:
Sit & Get Hit Drill Series
The Sit and Get Hit Series is a great way to get young catchers comfortable with the ball hitting them and older catchers into "blocking mode."
You can perform the drill standing right next to the catcher (see video) or standing or kneeling or sitting a short distance directly in front of the catcher.
The entire series includes:
1. Sit & Get Hit
2. Mitt Flip Blocks
3. Hands Down Blocks
4. Drop & Block
This can also be performed from a knee down set up.
