Lesson 38:
Me vs Ball Machine
This is one of my favorite ball machine tennis games for groundstrokes consistency and placement under pressure.
The ball machine will oscillate, sending the balls to both my forehand and backhand sides.
I will attempt to hit 5 balls in a row into the left half in order to score a point: 15; then I will try the same 5 balls in a row into the right half to score the second point: 30; and so on until I win a game.
BUT, if at any point I miss a shot (hit it into the net, or out) my “imaginary opponent” gets the point; play 2, 3, 4 games, or a full set in this way.
It is an excellent ball machine exercise to play a competitive match when you do not have a practice partner; just a ball machine.
