Lesson 40:
Scramble Seven
This is a very good mental strength tennis game which can help you prepare for upcoming matches or competitions.
The ball machine is set to send the balls deep while oscillating (turning slowly side to side), therefore I will be practicing both forehands and backhands.
I will have to hit 7 balls in to score a point, following this pattern:
- 2 balls from the baseline (groundstrokes)
- 1 approach shot (around service line)
- 4 volleys (at the net)
If I hit a series of 7 balls in, I get a point: 15-0. Next time I do it, I will get 30-0. And so on until I win a game.
But, if I miss any of the shots, I will lose the point.
To make it more competitive, I will have to aim all 7 shots into the left half of the court for the first point, then to the right half for the second point, and so on alternating sides after each point.
I'll continue playing until I either win or lose a game.
This exercise can go on until the player wins or loses a set.
