Lesson 49:
Plus 5 / Minus 5
This is a serve game that focuses on hitting the ball in, under pressure.
I'll have a basket of balls next to me and begin serving from the right (deuce) side.
For every ball in I should score a +1 point, for every miss (hit in the net, or out) I should lose a point (-1).
My goal will be to get to +5 and avoid -5.
The exercise should be done on both sides (deuce and ad).
Secret: Keeping the tossing arm up a bit longer (until just before swinging up to meet the ball), will help with balance and get more balls over the net. Resist the urge to pull the tossing hand down too early.
