    Bounce It

     view description
    • This is one of the games I use the most with beginning players within the first few lessons.
It is good for racquet and ball control, ball tracking, and... fun.

There are two players (or two teams) on opposite sides of the net.
The ball can be put in play by the coach or any player, with a bounce-and-hit.
Once the ball passes over the net, the player must do her best to keep the ball bouncing on her side by either tapping it up or down with her racquet - no hands in handling the ball. As soon as she can, she should be passing the ball back over the net.
The point is lost by the player on whose side the ball rolls.

Play first to win 3 points, or as long as players have fun.
