Lesson 10:
Rainy Day
A fun exercise for speed, quick reaction, hand-eye coordination, change of direction skills.
The coach stands just behind the service line, facing the baseline, holding two balls in his hands (one ball in each hand). The player gets ready at the baseline, facing the coach.
At any point the coach will toss the balls up and to the side; the student will sprint to catch both balls (one at a time) before they stop bouncing (rolling).
While catching two balls can be fairly easy, the coach can add the third ball, and even the fourth ball to make it more challenging for the player.
