Lesson 39:
One Up / One Back - Serve
This is a game that can be used as a serve warm-up.
The players begin at the service line and for every serve in, they make a step back. If they miss it (hit the net, or out), they step forward.
First player to make it to the service line and hit a serve in, wins the game.
The technical aspects are important too. As a coach, pay attention to your students' overall technique.
The first serves (from service line to baseline) should be considered warm-up serves and should be hit slower (about 40-70% power). But once the player(s) reaches the baseline, they are assumed to be warmed up and they can increase the pace to 80-90%.
