    Potato Race

     view description
    • This game is a kids' favourite because it promotes friendly competition which beginning palyers enjoy.

Each player positions at the baseline with their racquet ready, and each one has 3 balls placed at the base of the net, in front of them.

At command, the players race to run and pick up one ball from the base of the net, sprint back towards the service line from where they will have to drop the ball and hit a forehand groundstroke. If their shot goes over the net they will have to go and touch the baseline and repeat. But if their shot hits the net they will have to pick it up and try again from the service line.
The first player to hit all 3 balls over the net and get back to the baseline wins.
