Step In
Even though the above video shows the "Step In" drill executed by an advanced player, the drill can be tried with beginning players as well.
The main purpose of it is to make the player aware of the amount of spin that she should be working with according to how far away she is from the net.
For example, when playing from the baseline, there is more court to play the ball to, therefore less spin is needed. But, as the player gets closer to the net, the court is smaller and more (top)spin is needed to keep the ball in play.
