Lesson 61:
Twenty-One / Five
"Twenty-One / Five" is a great game to encourage players to come up to the net and play there.
Both players begin at the baseline. The point begins with the coach feeding the ball (or players can put the ball in play as well) and they play it out.
Scoring:
For every point they win with a groundstroke (hit the ball after it bounces) they receive only 1 point.
But, if they win and their last shot was taken in the air (volley, or overhead) they get 5 points instead.
In this way, the players are motivated to move up and win at the net.
Play until one player earns 21 points.
