Mitt Arm Weighted Ball Throws
Controlling the mitt arm is paramount for throwing success. I call the mitt arm the "steering wheel of the throw." A great way to practice controlling the mitt arm during the throwing process is the Mitt Arm Weighted Ball Throws.
Performing a throw while holding a 2 pnd sand ball will make the catcher more aware of any movements that the mitt arm makes. The extra weight will make any movements made with the mitt arm more pronounced.
