This drill is an easy way to get kids excited about hitting their serves with more power.
Drill:
Tell the young players to apply more pace into their serves while playing the following game: once the ball is in, they should count how many times the ball bounces before it reaches the back fence. Count only the balls that land inside the proper box and not the ones that are out.
This game motivates the kids to get the lowest number of bounces as they can; so keep and eye on their proper technique.
They will want to hit the ball harder than usual and eventually they will get a feel for what it takes to apply more power into their serve delivery (loose arm, breathing, legs thrust etc.)
