This is a drill that puts pressure on players’ groundstrokes accuracy and consistency – recommended to intermediate and advanced players.
Four players pair up: A rallies with B, C rallies with D. They all begin facing their partners, opposite sides, at the service line.
1. First the players must rally 10 balls over the net keeping the ball only inside the opposite service box.
2. Once they accomplish that, both players move back to about halfway between the service line and baseline. Again, they attempt to keep 10 balls over the net rally (balls can land anywhere inside the half-court, alley included).
3. If this will be done too, the respective team moves with each player on the baseline attempting to go for another 10 balls over the net rally.
4. The following rally will be done moving forward to halfway between the service line and baseline (10 balls).
5. The last rally should be again from the service line – 10 balls.
The first team to achieve this progression wins the game.
