The coach stands at the service line, facing the closest baseline, having a basket of balls nearby. Player stands about half way between service line and baseline, facing the coach.
The coach will toss balls from the basket side to side for the player to run around and hit, alternating inside forehand (a ball that comes to backhand but the player moves around it and executes a forehand) and inside backhand (a ball that comes to the forehand side but the player will run around it and execute a backhand).
Continue like this for about 10 balls in a row and then rest for 20 seconds. Repeat.
Note:
The drill is a great cardio and footwork exercise.
For cardio/group classes, the players waiting should perform various exercises such as jumping jacks, jump rope or ladder drills.
