There are two players: A and B.
Player B is designated to play the role of a “pusher” (someone who hits a lot of balls in, with little pace – a “human wall”) while the other player (A) will have to find ways to defeat the pusher by getting him out of his comfort zone.
Drill:
The ball is put in play with a drop and hit by the pusher (player B). His role is to only hit the ball in, with little pace. Player A will have to try different tactics: moving up to the net, bringing the pusher up to the net, varying the spin, depth etc.
This can be a very good exercise in figuring out ways to use against very consistent players and to test their capabilities to execute those tactics.
After one of the players wins 7 points, the two switch roles.
